Chapter Membership Directory Now Online!

The Philadelphia Chapter's interactive Membership Directory is now available online at www.philacfe.com. More than a basic directory listing, it is a comprehensive, searchable database of information about each Chapter member including, among other things, contact information, e-mail and web site addresses, professional designations, employer and job classification.

In addition to general browsing capabilities, users can execute a customized search of the Directory to identify chapter members meeting certain criteria. For example, the search function can be used to locate specific individuals or to generate a list of CFEs and/or CPAs with a particular area of expertise.

With about 200 member records covering a variety of professions and areas of specialization, the Directory should serve as a useful resource for the Chapter membership as both a networking and marketing tool.

Because the directory is interactive, Chapter members are strongly encouraged to visit the site and take a few moments to modify their own records to ensure that the information is accurate and complete. In doing so, members will also have the opportunity to add a brief narrative (500 words or less) about themselves, their areas of expertise, background, or any other information which they would like to make available to the chapter membership. This narrative, like other fields in the database, is searchable by keyword.

So visit www.philacfe.com to update your record and browse the Directory. The process is simple and intuitive. To obtain your user name and password, which you will need in order to gain access to the Directory, just send an e-mail to info@philacfe.com or follow the links on our web site.

2001 Distinguished Achievement Award

The Philadelphia Area Chapter is proud to annually recognize one of its members for his or her contributions. This year's recipient was Board member Daphne Rich.

New to the Chapter, Daphne quickly took an interest in the professional enhancement of the membership by suggesting and offering to create our web site. As the webmaster of www.philacfe.com, Daphne is solely responsible for the design, development and maintenance of this great member benefit.

Ms. Rich formerly was employed by the U.S. Department of Labor and recently took a new position with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
